Patented Design

KB Enterprises was established in 1998 as we realized a need for insulated Pipe Supports in the Seattle area. Initially we made the inserts with calcium silicate encased with a two-piece 360 galvanized jacket. After dealing with complaints from installers about calcium silicate, we designed a one-piece 360 PVC jacket with a living hinge and a locking seam.

Instead of using calcium silicate we researched the load bearing weight at hanger points from to 12 pipe and asked Dow Chemical to research Polyisocyanurate insulation to see if there was a product that would support the load bearing weight at the hanger point. Under Technical Information, a chart was created by Dow Chemical.
